UPDATE: An Post halts delivery services in six counties due to heavy snow
An Post has issued an update regarding deliveries and the opening hours of post offices as parts of the country continue to be blanketed in snow.
The recent snowfall across the country has led to treacherous road conditions and thousands being affected by power outages, with An Post saying their services have been "severely impacted" by the harsh weather.
An Post has announced that it will not be possible to make letter or parcel deliveries on the majority of postal routes in counties Cork, Kerry, Kilkenny, Limerick, Tipperary and some parts of Wicklow.

They added that should conditions improve, some deliveries will be attempted "where it is safe to do so."
Post offices in these counties are also being impacted, with many remaining closed on Monday. Some, however, will be able to open later once power and access is restored.
An Post say that they will proceed on a "Safety First basis" and will resume deliveries and post office services once safety and local access allows.
