LOVE doesn't wait for the weather forecast, and for one determined couple, neither does their wedding!
Against the backdrop of a beautiful snowstorm, and the amber glow of a Status Orange weather warning, 34-year-old Glenn and 32-year-old Tara braved the bitter conditions to say their long-awaited "I do" to one another, in Limerick's enchanting Castletroy Park Hotel on Saturday, January 4.
From the beginning, Glenn and Tara's love story could rival any classic fairy-tale, with the couple first meeting after physically bumping into each other outside Brown Thomas in 2012.
Tara, originally from Upper Fairhill in Cork, decided to head to Limerick City for the day to go shopping, while Glenn, who is from Janesboro, located in Limerick, was out on the town also.
After colliding with one another, the connection was instant. This very moment began their long distance love story, which would see the smitten pair meet up each weekend.
Two and a half years later, under the stunning view of the Riverfest fireworks, a festival held in Limerick, Glenn asked Tara to marry him, and she of course said yes!

Waiting for the right time and moment, a perfect song came on to which Glenn said to his beloved, "I bet you'll never forget this song" as he got down on one knee, and now, 10 years after their engagement, the couple laughed as they confirmed they cannot remember what the song was, as they were too caught up in the beautiful moment. A match made in heaven!
Thirteen years and three children later, Glenn and Tara now reside in Weston, Limerick City, where Glenn works as a Production Operator in Zimmer while is Tara is a stay-at-home mother to their beautiful sons, Alfie, Liam, and Oliver.
The day was more than special, it was perfect, and the couple simply could not keep the smiles off their faces, despite the Status Orange weather warning which shook the country.
When asked were they worried about such weather, Tara responded, "After 13 years, we didn't have a choice!" and laughed, with Glenn beside her confirming that they were too full of bliss to even notice the blanket of snow just a mere few meters away from them.
The Castletroy Park Hotel was a sight to behold on the evening of Saturday, January 4, to one side you had children running around having snowball fights, and to the other, you had the newlyweds, who were clearly in a world of their own.
It is clear that what no matter the weather conditions were, this perfect couple could not have waited another second to say "I do."
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Power!
