A call from a concerned member of the public prompted gardaí to catch an unlicensed 15-year-old behind the wheel of an uninsured and untaxed tractor over the weekend.
Members of the Roads Policing Unit received a call from a member of the public and swiftly moved to stop the tractor in Elphin, Co Roscommon on Sunday afternoon.
Once stopped, gardaí discovered that the 15-year-old driver "had no licence, no insurance or tax".
Taking to social media, An Garda Síochána posted on X: "Our Roads Policing Unit in Roscommon pulled in the driver of this tractor in Elphin yesterday afternoon after a call from a member of the public.
"The driver, who was 15, had no licence, no insurance or tax," the post stated.
