“I am still in shock and disbelief; the news is yet to sink in. I think half of the enjoyment will really come from talking about what I might do with the money. I do have a few plans, including an exotic holiday – somewhere off the beaten track and out of the ordinary. While a good portion will be gifted to family as well as to charity,” the lottery player said.

Player 3: Cash prize of €87,342

A Limerick woman claimed €87,342 on Saturday, 21st December in the main Lotto draw.

The woman purchased the ticket in Dunnes Stores, Harveys Quay, Henry Street, Co. Limerick.

Delighted, the Limerick woman said: “on the Sunday morning, I checked the tickets and saw I matched 5 numbers – I thought I had won a couple of thousand euros. Then I remembered to check the bonus number – it was then I realised I had won a lot more! My husband and I looked at each other and just laughed. It still hasn’t sunk in, but we have a few ideas on how to use the money – we have a list of renovations around the house that need to be done!”
