ALERT: Caution urged as large number of trees are knocked during record-breaking Storm Éowyn

While Storm Éowyn is underway many trees have fallen across the country due to gusts as high as 183km/h.

As of 7am, every county is under a status red wind warning and more than 560,000 homes, farms and businesses are without power this Friday morning.

Sharing a post to X of fallen trees, a spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade said: "One side of the Killininny Road, Dublin has been cleared following a tree downed by #StormÉowyn.
