ALERT: Temu issues urgent recall of popular children's toy due to 'chemical risk'

Temu has issued an urgent recall of their LED spinning top toy due to safety concerns.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) said the online retail giant has reported to them that the issue with the product is 'chemical.'

The toy is powered by button batteries and according to the CCPC the battery compartment can be easily opened which means the batteries are accessible. The CCPC warns: "A child may put them in the mouth and swallow them, which could cause damage to the child’s gastrointestinal tract."
