An Garda Síochána are conducting nationwide speed checks
Gardaí are continuing an extensive bank holiday roads policing operation and conducting speed checks across the country on Bank holiday Monday February 3.
In the town of Killorglin in Co. Kerry, Gardaí caught this driver doing 146km/hr in a 100km/hr zone.
"Don't become another statistic," Gardaí said.
"Slow down and stay safe," they added.
During the first 24 hours of An Garda Síochána's Bank Holiday Roads Policing Operation, 264 drivers were detected speeding.
Since Thursday morning last, 100 drivers have been arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

"That's more than one person arrested per hour," Gardaí said.
