A man who was seriously injured following an assault incident close to a pub in Dublin has died, gardai have confirmed.
Gardaí in Blanchardstown are renewing their appeal for witnesses to the incident that occurred at the entrance to the car park of a licensed premises on Clonsilla Road, Clonsilla, Dublin 15 shortly after 11pm on Sunday, February 2.
"The man in his 40s who was seriously injured passed away at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown last night, Thursday February 6, 2025," said a garda spokesperson who added that a family liaison officer has been assigned to support the family of the deceased.
A man, aged in his 20s, who was arrested in connection with the incident was subsequently charged and appeared before Blanchardstown District Court in Dublin on Tuesday.

"Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of the premises at the time of the incident to come forward. They are also appealing to anyone with camera footage, including motorists with dash-cam footage from Clonsilla Road between the junctions of Shelerin Road and Porterstown Road at the time to contact them," said the spokesperson.
Investigating gardaí say they are particularly appealing to an off-duty medical professional who provided medical assistance at the scene to make himself known to gardaí in Blanchardstown.
