A man has been arrested after a stand-off with gardaí in Wicklow earlier today.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Earlier this morning, Monday, February 24, gardaí were requested to attend the scene of an incident in Delgany, Co Wicklow where a male had barricaded himself into a property following the attempted execution of a High Court order by a third-party.
"An Garda Síochána initiated its Operational Command protocol, appointing an On-Scene Commander. Local Garda negotiators from the National Negotiators Unit, along with the the Armed Support Unit, attended the scene. A cordon was put in place.

"The incident was peacefully resolved shortly before 3:00pm following negotiations. No injuries were reported.
"The male involved, aged in his 50s, was arrested at the scene under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939. He is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Eastern Region.
"Two firearms were recovered and seized by Gardaí.
"Investigations are ongoing."
