Kildare's An Garda Síochána were kept busy this week after arresting 14 motorists for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
The inebriated drivers were caught in just a six day period on Kildare roads after failing breathalysers and drug wipe tests.
In images posted to An Garda Síochána Kildare's social media, at least one driver tested positive for cocaine while another had cannabis in their system. At least one motorist also failed the breathalyser, which detects alcohol.
Accompanied by the pictures, a spokesperson for the gardaí said, "Alcohol and drugs affects your ability to drive - you are much more at risk of being involved in an accident. Drink and drugs slow reaction times, coordination, concentration, judgement and vision.
