With over 500,000 people expected to line-up on the streets of Dublin on Monday to watch the St Patrick's Day parade, gardaí have issued some important advice to any families intending on making the trip to the country's biggest parade.
This year's parade will see 4,000 people take part in the big march under the theme of 'Eachtraí' - the Irish word for 'adventures.' Of course, with so many people anticipated to attend the event, it can cause some anxiety for parents or those bringing vulnerable people to the parade.
Thankfully to ease those anxieties, An Garda Síochána have made wristbands available to anyone attending the parade in the unfortunate event that they may become separated from their families in the huge crowds.
The purpose of the wristbands is to help reunite any young or vulnerable people who may get lost at the parade. An emergency contact number can be placed on the wristbands and then attending gardaí will then be able to assist in reuniting them with their families.
To grab one of these extremely useful wristbands, you can call into any Garda station across Dublin before heading to the event.
