BREAKING: 'Not another one...' Woman struck by car in Kilkenny and rushed to hospital

Gardaí appeal for any witnesses to come forward who were at the location at the time

A serious road traffic collision occurred in Kilkenny where a woman in her 30s was brought to hospital with series injuries.

The incident occurred on Friday 28th March 2025 on the N76 at Westcourt Demesne in Callan and gardaí are urging any witnesses to come forward.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the collision, involving a car and a pedestrian, which occurred shortly before 9pm.

The female pedestrian, aged in her 30s, was brought to St Luke’s Hosptial, Kilkenny, to be treated for serious injuries.

There were no other injuries reported, gardaí said.

The road is currently closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators with local diversions in place.

Gardaí urge any road users to bring forward any camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 8.45pm and 9.15pm.
