Investigations underway after 80-year-old woman dies in house fire

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal house fire as a residential property in Mountain Park, Tallaght, Co Dublin, yesterday evening Wednesday April 23, 2025, at approximately 6:50pm.

A woman, aged in her 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been removed from the scene to the Dublin City Mortuary in Whitehall, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted.

The fire was extinguished by Dublin Fire Brigade.

A technical examination of the scene will be conducted in due course.
