A week-long search for a 17-year-old Irish girl who had been the subject of a missing person appeal has been stood down after she was "located safe and well", gardaí have confirmed.
Michaela Colgan O'Connor - described as being approximately 5 foot 3 inches in height with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes - was reported missing from her home in Dublin 9 since Monday, April 21.
When last seen, Michaela was wearing a wearing a pink top, light grey jeans, pink trainers and was carrying a cream studded bag.
"Gardaí would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance," a garda spokesperson said.
