PICTURES: Sunny celebrations for latest wave of Irish Naval Service recruits and families

There were sunny scenes and proud moments at Haulbowline Island in Cork Harbour as the latest wave of Irish Naval Service recruits marked their passing out parade.

Recruit Class ALPHA 25 were joined by family and friends to celebrate the completion of their training, with the Naval Base buzzing with emotion and applause for the newly minted members of the Defence Forces.

The passing out parade marks a major milestone as the recruits now embark on the next chapter of their naval careers.
