Gardaí arrest three men (30s) who broke into elderly lady's home and assaulted her
Gardaí in Dundalk in Louth were alerted to an aggravated burglary where an elderly woman was assaulted and robbed in home and three men were arrested.
The incident occurred on the evening of Saturday 17th May, 2025 at approximately 6.45pm at a residential property in Carlingford in Louth.
During the course of the aggravated burglary, gardaí said that three men entered the home of an elderly female and assaulted her. A sum of money was taken during the incident and the three men left the scene.
The injured lady was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel, according to gardaí.

Gardaí arrested three males, all aged in their 30s close to the scene and they were taken to Garda stations in Louth where they were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
All three men have since been charged in connection the incident and are due to appear before Drogheda District Court tomorrow morning, Monday 19th May, 2025 at 10.30am.
Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
