With the June Bank Holiday just around the corner, many people are looking to make plans for the upcoming long weekend.
Whether you're doing the weekly food shop or picking up some last minute essentials, shoppers may find that their local supermarket is straying from its usual trading hours.
Here is all the information you need on Aldi, Tesco, Lidl, Dunnes Stores and Supervalu's opening times ahead of the three-day weekend.
Aldi has revealed that Saturday, May 31 is expected to be the busiest shopping day over the June Bank Holiday weekend, with 8am-10am and 7pm-10pm predicted to be the quietest times for customers to pick up their shopping on that day.
The supermarket giant has also confirmed that stores will be open from 8am-10pm as normal on Saturday, May 31 and from 9am-9pm on Sunday, June 1.
Stores will also open between 9am-9pm on Monday, June 2 for the Bank Holiday.
However, customers should check details of local opening hours on ALDI’s website to avoid disappointment, as some stores hours may vary slightly. All Aldi stores will resume normal opening hours from 8am as usual on Tuesday, June 3.

Meanwhile, Tesco stores will operate their normal opening hours for the June Bank Holiday weekend. Times per store can vary, so customers are encouraged to visit tesco.ie/store-locator at any time to find the opening hours of their local store.
The opening hours for Lidl Ireland stores for the June Bank Holiday will see shops open on Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31 from 8am to 10pm, with hours reducing on Sunday, June 1 and Monday, June 2 where they will operate from 9am to 9pm.
It's understood that Dunnes Stores supermarkets will operate on holiday opening hours, varying with each branch. You can check the opening hours for your closest Dunnes Stores here.
As each SuperValu store is individually owned, the opening hours will indeed vary depending on which branch you shop at. In past years, they have operated as normal but no official June Bank Holiday opening hours have been confirmed as of yet.
