TWO MEN have been arrested and charged following a shooting at a house in Limerick and the recovery of a firearm and ammunition, Limerick Live reports.
On Friday, June 6, at approximately 5am, gardaí responded to reports of shots fired at a residential property and a disturbance in the Thomondgate area of Limerick.
"Damage was caused to the exterior wall of the building and several shotgun casings were recovered during a search of the scene," gardaí have confirmed with Limerick Live.
"The area was preserved for technical and forensic examination.

"Subsequent searches of private dwellings and outdoor spaces in Limerick led to the recovery of a firearm (sawn-off shotgun), ammunition and items of clothing."
Two men, both in their 30s, were arrested and detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at a Garda station in County Limerick.
Both individuals have since been charged in connection with the investigation and are due to appear before Limerick District Court this Monday, June 9.
