Gardai say fatal incident happened at Kilmurry, Sixmilebridge at around 10.15am on Saturday
An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was killed in a road crash in County Clare.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the fatal incident, involving a tractor, which happened on the L7006 at Kilmurry, Sixmilebridge, at around 10.15am this Saturday.
"The pedestrian, a male aged in his 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has been conveyed to University Hospital Limerick. The Coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course," said a spokesperson.
Motorists are being advised the road is currently closed to facilitate a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí have launched an investigation and they are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
"Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and who were travelling in the area between 10am and 10.15am are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí," said the spokesperson.
Anyone with any information about the fatal collision is asked to contact Ennis garda station on 065 684 8100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
Investigations are ongoing.
