RIP: Gardaí appeal for witnesses following discovery of body of man in his 50s

Gardaí have launched an appeal for witnesses following the discovery of a body of a man in his 50s in Mallow, County Cork on Saturday, 28 June.

In an update from An Garda Síochána on Thursday, they said they are investigating all circumstances surrounding the discovery of the man's body in Ballymaquirk, Mallow on Saturday evening. 

Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information relating to the incident to come forward.

In a statement from An Garda Síochána, they said they are particularly appealing for witnesses in relation to a male who was walking on the road between Banteer and Kanturk in Cork on Friday, 13 June between the hours of 3.30pm and 9pm.

Anyone who may have been travelling in the area at this time and who has camera or dashcam footage is asked to make it available to gardaí.

Gardaí said that there is no foul play suspected at this time.
