RIP: Motorcyclist (60s) killed following fatal road traffic collision with tractor-trailer

A motorcyclist has died following a fatal road traffic collision involving a tractor-trailer on Saturday, 12 July in Dublin.

The collision occurred on the Old Airport Road (Collinstown Lane) at approximately 10:50am on Saturday morning. 

Gardaí said the motorcyclist involved in the crash, a man in his 60s, was brought to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital where he was sadly later pronounced dead.

No other injuries have been reported from the collision.

The road was closed on Saturday to facilitate a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. 

Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.

Any road users who may have camera or dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area between 10:30am and 11:15am on Saturday morning are asked to make the footage available to investigating Gardaí.
