Gardaí in Dublin detained minibikes from a father and daughter on Saturday, 12 July after they discovered neither of the drivers had insurance for the vehicles.
In a post on An Garda Síochána's X page, gardaí said they were on patrol in Sandyford when they spotted the man riding the minibike that was "unregistered for road use."
Yesterday while on patrol in Sandyford, we spotted a man riding a minibike that was unregistered for road use.

The man made admissions to having no insurance when we pulled him over.

In addition to being unregistered for road use, the man admitted to having no insurance for the minibike once he was pulled over.

The post read: "As we were speaking to him, the man's daughter came down the road on a minibike of her own. Our records proved that the daughter was just 17 years old and that she did not possess a driver's licence."
The girl's minibike was also not road-worthy and she also had no insurance.
Gardaí detained both of the minibikes and court proceedings are to follow.
