Indian man tells gang 'take my things but stop hitting me' during vicious attack
An Indian man named Laxman Das was attacked by a group of men while on his way to work in Dublin recently.
This closely follows an attack on an Indian taxi driver in Dublin and an Indian girl who was attacked by a group of teenagers as well.
The 51-year-old father of two has been living in Ireland for the past 21 years and is an Irish citizen.
The attack happened on Wednesday August 6 in the early hours of the morning when the man was on his way to work as a chef at the Anantara The Marker Dublin hotel.
Laxman was travelling to work on his e-scooter like any normal day, he said: "three people were just on the road....they came over slow and stopped me".
Laxman said that one of the men told him "give me your valuables" and then they started to punch him relentlessly.
The 51-year-old father of two said that the helmet he was wearing was broken during the violent attack and he had injuries all over his body including his face, his back, his eye- "everywhere was injured...they were hitting me so much".

During the attack Laxman was shouting at the men telling them to stop punching him.
He told them to take his things but to stop hurting him. He was also screaming for help as well but nobody came to help him.
Laxman tried to recover what was stolen including his e-bike, his phone and cash, but he was unable to; "they took everything".
Laxman said he was pushed on the ground by the group and when he woke up on the ground after the attack they were gone with his belongings.
He had to walk to the hotel he works at afterwards to call himself an ambulance. He was treated for his injuries at St Vincent's Hospital following the assault.
He was discharged from the hospital at around 9pm that night.
