A motorist has been arrested and charged with Dangerous Driving after Gardaí caught them doing the unthinkable whilst driving.
Members from the Mayo Roads Policing Unit were on patrol Friday evening when they observed a vehicle being driven in a dangerous manner.
The driver was performing doughnuts in the middle of the N17 near Charlestown in wet weather conditions.

Gardaí confirmed that the motorist was subsequently arrested and charged with the offence. They will now appear before the courts.
The car itself was also seized under Section 109(A) of the Road Traffic Act. In order to get a vehicle back under this legislation, the driver must now apply to the Judge of the District Court.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána in the county commented on this, saying, "This type of behaviour has no place on our roads and endangers lives and other road users."
