Tributes are flowing in following the sudden death of a “beloved” young boy, Rory Coady.
Rory Coady of Templemary, Lisgriffin, Buttevant, county Cork died unexpectedly but peacefully, at home with his family on 21 September.
Joe’s Farm Crisps posted on social media that their farm shop in Cork is closed today and Thursday, September 25, due to a family bereavement.
Buttevant GAA cancelled their local bingo evening out of respect for Rory’s passing.

A past teacher of Rory wrote in his online book of condolences: “Deepest sympathies to Craig, Della, Paudie and the extended Coady and Walshe families on the devastating loss of Rory.”
“It was a privilege to get to know Rory over the past month and his smile lit up the classroom each morning. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time. May Rory rest in peace.”
Another commenter called the tragic death “absolutely devastating”.
The death notice reads that Rory is the “Much adored son of Craig and Della (née Walshe) and loving brother of Padraig (Paudie). Predeceased by his grandfather Padraig Walshe.”
The RIP.ie notice further stated that that Rory will be “Sadly missed by his loving parents, brother, grandparents Tom and Eileen Coady and Mary Walshe, aunts Eva Power and Elaine O'Brien, uncle Jason Coady, extended family, Timmy, Tara and Declan, cousins who meant so much to Rory, relatives, neighbours, school mates and friends.”
Rory Coady’s funeral will take place this evening at O'Connell's Funeral Home, St. James' Avenue, Mallow, September 24th from 5pm with prayers at 8.15pm.
A reception will take place at St. Mary's Church Buttevant on Thursday at 11.30am.
Rory Coady’s requiem mass will take place at 12pm. The funeral will take place afterwards at Lisgriffin Cemetery.”

The family wish to thank members of An Garda Síochána, Paramedics, neighbours and Fr. Eugene Baker who helped Rory's family with such compassion on the day of Rory's passing.
