The announcement was made at the annual Prize-Giving Banquet in Tullamore, where around 500 people gathered to celebrate this year’s competitors and winners.
NPA Managing Director Anna May McHugh confirmed the news, saying feedback from the 2025 event had been “overwhelmingly positive,” with strong enthusiasm for a return to Co. Offaly.

“The site proved an excellent location due to its accessibility and central position, and the economic impact for Offaly and surrounding counties was very significant,” she said.
Ms McHugh also congratulated competitors, praising the high standard of performance across all classes this year. “With over 350 participants, the level of skill and dedication was exceptional. Ploughing remains at the very heart of the Championships, and it is wonderful to see such passion on display.”
