Electric Picnic announce Fontaines D.C. and eight more acts for 2026 festival

The Electric Picnic countdown has officially started as the first nine acts for 2026 have been announced today.

Electric Picnic is Ireland’s biggest music and arts festival and will take place next year from 28 to 30 August.

Gorillaz have been announced as Saturday’s headlining act, with Fontaines D.C. taking centre stage on Sunday.

“But that’s not all,” Electric Picnic organisers have said.

“Santa’s pulled a few more names out of the bag for next year’s musical extravaganza,” they added.

CMAT, Sombr, Zara Larsson, Skepta, Wunderhorse, Role Model, and Geese have also been announced for the festival next year.

It’s a first for Electric Picnic to welcome Gorillaz to Stradbally.

The 600 acres of rolling fields at Stradbally Estate will provide the perfect backdrop for the end of summer extravaganza as Picnic fan favourites return with Trailer Park, Croí, Salty Dog, Providencia, Fish Town and more.

Organisers say more announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
