Ballina's Steven O'Brien has been named as full-forward on Tipperary's first competitive team of the year to play Waterford in the Gold Coast on Sunday.
Tipperary senior football manager David Power has named a strong Tipperary team and subs for their opening McGrath Cup clash with Waterford which takes place in Gold Coast, Dungarvan on Sunday afternoon at 1.30pm.
They will follow this game up with another McGrath Cup game against Limerick in Templetuohy next Saturday.
During the past week Limerick had a very big win against the Deise in the opening round of the round-robin, winning by 4-14 to 0-9 in Rathkeale.
