Clerical change in our Parish

The villages of Ballylooby and Duhill welcome Fr. John Nally from St Mary’s, Clonmel who commenced duty in the parish last weekend.

Fr. John is a native of Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and has worked in various parts of the Meath Diocese before arriving in Clonmel 2021.

Fr. John replaced Fr Jude Ronayne-Forde OFM who served in our Parish since Sept ‘21 and has since moved to Franciscan Friary, Liberty Street, Cork. Fr Jude was attached to Clonmel Friary and the friars have moved to various parts of the country having served in the town of Clonmel and surrounds for more than 750 years.

The final farewell Mass took place in the Friary on Friday last, January 6, Feast of the Ephiphany. See report elsewhere in this edition.

Sad time for all, every good wish to all of them for the future.
