"Ireland Lights Up" walking initiativie is now "up and running" in west Tipperary village

Six weeks "Ireland Lights Up" walking initiativie is now "up and running" in west Tipperary village

Ireland Lights Up encourages GAA clubs across Ireland to turn on their floodlights and open their walking tracks to enable communities to come together to walk and talk in a safe environment

IRELAND LIGHTS UP IN SOLOGHEAD

The Sologhead GAA Club "Ireland Lights Up" weekly walks began this Wednesday, January 11 and the pitch walkway will be the focus of attention with the “Ireland Lights Up '' initiative which will run for six consecutive Wednesday nights.

This will be an ideal opportunity to get people in the community back out walking and being active while also developing healthy lifestyles in the New Year.

The walkway is a 480 metres round trip so set your own targets for each night of the Walking Lights campaign with your completed laps being added to the combined total of all those taking part over the six week duration.

So let’s get going and don’t let the weather throw you off, come prepared.

Activity will commence each evening at 7 o’clock.

Best of luck to everyone.
