Mary’s Meals Monthly Online Quiz

Mary’s Meals is a global movement that sets up school feeding programmes in some of the world’s poorest communities, where hunger and poverty prevent children from gaining an education.

Ballyskenach Drama Group
Ballyskenach Drama Group are busy rehearsing for their upcoming production of Sam Cree's hilarious comedy 'Stop it Nurse' - which will be staged on February 16, 17 and 18th. Further details will follow nearer the time.

Roscrea Country Market
Roscrea Country Market opens on Fridays from 10am to 12.30pm in the Muintir Na Tire Hall, Roscrea with a supply of cakes, tarts, scones, pavlovas, jams, eggs, brown bread. The market now has crafts as well, so pop along and have a look.

Age Friendly Roscrea
Roscrea's Age Friendly has a busy 2023 planned with classes and events already on the calendar for early in the new year.
ETB Community Education Classes are resuming in The Courthouse. Chair Yoga returns at 2pm on January 11 and Art Classes return at 9.30am, 11.30am and 2pm on January 12. Call (089) 468 2164 if you are interested in attending any of these.

The very popular Rosie Greys singing group meets every Wednesday at 3pm. New members welcome at any time whether you think you can sing or not!
Unfortunately, due to the rise in Covid, flu and other respiratory infections, we have decided to postpone our New Year’s Party which was planned for January 9. We will be in touch with all who have purchased tickets to arrange a refund. We will set another date soon.

Gamblers Anonymous
Meetings are every Sunday evening at 7p.m. in the Parish Centre (Legion Hall) at St. Cronan's Church. Contact Barney on (087) 0684636.


Irish Classes
Irish classes are resuming in Gaelscoil Shli Dala, Ballaghmore on Tuesday January 17. Classes at 6.45pm, 7.30pm and 8.15pm. For further details contact the school on (0505) 41810.


Age Friendly Living Well Programme
A Living Well Programme is starting in the Courthouse on Wednesday, January 18 at 10.30am – 1pm for 6 weeks Living Well is for adults 18 years and over. It is suitable for you if you are living with one or more long-term health conditions or caring for someone with a long-term health condition.


Living Well is a free group self-management programme. Self-management is what a person does every day to manage their long-term health condition. This may include making choices to improve your health such as becoming more active, eating healthily and quit smoking.


It may also include more complex tasks such as taking medication, monitoring your symptoms, coping with the emotional aspects of the condition and communicating with healthcare professionals.
