Last weekend Cahir Comhaltas started their occupation of Cahir Tourist Office for the winter season.
With teaching being the main focus of Cahir Comhaltas they started off with rehearsals for all the Groups Under 11 to Under 14 musicians.
The rehearsal attracted a group of American tourists last Saturday who were delighted to listen for a while and left laden with leaflets and information on the area. So, Cahir Comhaltas winter occupation is already proving fruitful!
The site will be be hub for rehearsals for the Groups many traditional Irish music events this year and they look forward to preparing for participation in St. Patrick’s Day, the County Fleadh, Seisiún, Tradfest 2023 and also the many other events that Cahir Comhaltas provide entertainment for during the year in Cahir.
Visitors can still call in to pick up Tourist information and listen to traditional Irish music in a season where the Tourist Office is normally closed.
