Last year's Leinster club finalists turn to Tipperary again for new manager

Three in a row Laois senior hurling champions and last year's Leinster club hurling finalist Clough Ballacolla have confirmed that they will have a Tipperary man at the helm this year as Thurles Sarsfields man Garry Mernagh has been ratified this week.

After a very successful spell under the steward of Declan Laffan, the Loughmore man stepped aside after a couple of weeks after their Leinster club championship loss to Dublin champions Kilmacud Crokes to take up a role in Liam Cahill's Tipperary senior management team, and the Laois kingpins have once again turned to Tipperary for their manager.

A former Thurles Sarsfields senior hurler, Mernagh has been out of the game for the past few year but has plenty of management experience on his CV and will be hoping to continue the success at the club in recent years.
