The big guns will soon be circling for star apprentice Billy Loughnane who had a ridiculous hat-trick of wins at Wolves last night, which adds to the whopping 18 winners this month for the youngster.
Sixteen-year-old apprentice jockey Billy Loughnane, son of trainer Mark Loughnane from Thurles, is the hottest young property in the game and has already ridden 15 winners so far this year – more than any other rider.
What a talent @loughnane_billy is!

The treble is up at @WolvesRaces again as Rebel Angel wins under another fine ride for the @MarkUsherRacing team...pic.twitter.com/DVAXcwtJSl
Loughnane took his first ride only in October but his ascent has been rapid. His victory on Glorious Angel at Newcastle on Friday saw his claim reduce from 7lb to 5lb and his composure and natural skill in the saddle make it a certainty that more winners will follow.
A host of famous faces after him to ride for them long term, and they don’t get much bigger than Gordon Elliott, as the Meath man - who could be without number one jockey Jack Kennedy for Cheltenham Festival - has told Loughnane there’s a spot for him on his roster when he wants it.
However, a claim of that size on a jockey of such prodigious talent is a precious commodity and Loughnane will soon take a break from ripping it up in freezing temperatures at Britain's all-weather tracks for the more glamorous climes of Florida.
Loughnane is seen below celebrating with his father after another big win in Wolverhampton.
Things you love to see! ❤️
