The Ursuline is delighted for past pupil Kerry Condon who is nominated for a Best Supporting Actress award for her role as Siobhán in The Banshees of Inisherin.

She has had an illustrious acting career on stage, television and the silver screen since leaving school.

Critics have heaped praise on Kerry for her superb performance as the caring but bewildered sister of Colin Farrell’s character Pádraic who wants more than island life had to offer.

Her nomination comes a year after another former Ursuline student, Jessie Buckley, received a nomination in 2022, also for the Best Supporting actress, for her role in The Lost Daughter.

The students and staff are all rooting for Kerry and have their fingers crossed that she will bring home the golden statuette on March 13.
