Captains' Drive-In at County Tipperary & Country Club this weekend

Captains Drive-in


This coming weekend all roads lead to Dundrum House Golf Course for the Captains Drive-in, of Captain Darren Hayes, Lady Captain Jacinta Coman, Junior Captains David Ryan and Aoife O’Donoghue.


The Drive-in will take place at 10:30 followed by a full Scramble played over 9 holes. We wish Jacinta, Darren, Aoife and David the very best on the day and for the year ahead.


Mens Golf
The Spring League is well underway and many of the members have most of their games played so we urge those who have not, to get their rounds played as soon as possible and not let down their team.


Ladies Golf
Last call for CPR & Defibrillator training at the Club House on Saturday February 18 from 9:30 to 2:30, €40. Contact 087 6252872.


The winner of the Morning Scramble; Catherine (Kate) O’Dwyer, Kay Crosse, Jacinta Coman & Mary O’Donnell, well done Ladies.


The winner of the New-year 9-hole competition; Sheena Ryan with 20 + 22 = 42pts. In 2nd place Mary O’Donnell with 17 + 20 = 37pts.


Seniors Golf
Results of last week’s 15-hole Champagne: in 1st place John Grogan, Pat O’Gorman, Tony Farrell and John Graves with 92pts. In 2nd place Gerry Maher, Jim Kinsella, Johnny Hannigan and Tom Shanahan with 81pts.


Results of St. Brigid’s Weekend Champagne Scramble; in 1st place a team from Tipperary Golf Club; Paudie Leahy, James O’Doherty, Ger Heelan and Fintan Leahy with 116pts (CB).


In 2nd place a Team from Thurles; P J Tooher, Ger Ryan, P J Mackey & Noel Shorley with 116 pts (CB).


In 3rd place Philip Bargary (Dundrum G C) Declan Lonergan (Cahir Park G C), Stewart Perry (Cahir Park GC) and Keith Culligan (Cahir Park GC) with 116pts (CB).


The Best Mixed Team was a County Tipperary Team of Club Captain Darren Hayes, Brian Slattery, Sheena Ryan and Caroline O’Dwyer with 105pts.
