Everyone got involved to  support the Dillon Quirke 24-hour fundraising run  in Tipperary

Dundrum AC’s Fit4Life group took part in the Dillon Quirke Foundation 24 Hour Run last weekend

MUNSTER JUVENILE INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Munster Juvenile Indoor Championships were held in Nenagh Indoor Stadium on Saturday and Sunday last. We had seven athletes in action.
In the Girls U12 Katelyn Shanahan competed in the long jump, 60m hurdles and the 600m.
In the Boys U12 we had two athletes competing. Micheal Ryan took part in the 60m and long jump and Jesse Julian, who did the 600m and long jump.
In the Boys U13 we had four athletes who all competed in the 60m and 600m and they were Albert Maher, Rocco Julian, Micheal Farrell and Niall Quirke.

ADARE 10K
The very popular Adare 10k was held on Sunday last in Adare, Co Limerick. We had one athlete competing, Emily Leahy, who ran a good time of 47:43 in a huge field of runners.

KINSALE 10 MILE
The Kinsale 10 Mile was held on Sunday last in county Cork. There were 794 finishers. It was a cold day, but dry and sunny. The last few kilometres presented a challenge, with head-on winds. We had three athletes competing in the long distance race.
First home for the club was Richard Bresnen, 1:13:10. He was followed by Mairead Julian, 1:16:43 and Pat Hayes, 1:34:20.

DILLON QUIRKE FOUNDATION RUN
The Dillon Quirke Foundation 24 Hour Run was held on Friday and Saturday last, hosted by Kickhams GAA Club with Dundrum AC.
There was somebody running on the track at Dundrum Community Centre from 3pm on Friday to 3pm on Saturday. Runners were given a 24-minute slot.
We had several club members taking part: John Moore, Louise Moore, Brid Moore, Laura McCarthy Armstrong, Derek Breen, Darren Allison, Catherine Fogarty, Saoirse Burke, Tim Burke, Mikey Burke, William Keane, Catriona Sadlier, Patrick Sadlier, Roisin Sadlier, Noel Casey, Michele Crowe, Claire Ryan, Patricia Moloney, Sara McGlinchey, Christina Fryday, Alana Fryday, Kathleen O’Brien, Mary Ferncombe, Martina Butler, Mary Campbell, Ordhan Ryan, Farran Ryan, Elaine Murphy, Eadaoin Roche, Marian Breen, Caitriona Armstrong, Mary Ann McHugh, Isla McHugh, Carmel McHugh, Zoe Curling, Bella Curling and John O’Brien.

COUCH 2 5K
Our Couch 2 5k started on Monday, February 13. You can still slot in if you don’t make the first couple of sessions. It’s a nine-week programme. Training by coaches is held on Monday and Thursday at 7pm, at the track at Dundrum Community Centre, the former Scouts Hall.
The club group runs on Saturday and Sunday at 9am at the Duck Pond, Marlbog.

JUVENILE TRAINING
Juvenile training is held every Tuesday and Friday at 7pm at the track at Dundrum Community Centre.
Children have to turn nine years old by end of this year to be able to take part.
All children are welcome to join in.
