Results
Last Saturday February 25 in the Clonmel Credit Union Division 3 Cahir Park B played Burncourt Celtic on the Astro Turf. It was a competitive game with the result of Cahir Park 3, Burncourt Celtic 2. Well done to the Team and management. There was a great effort put in by both teams.
Cahir Park A team had a weekend off.
Cahir Park Senior Ladies
Our Senior ladies are back in action and kicked off their season with an away draw in Charleville in the Munster Cup last weekend. We had a tight squad for the day with injuries but nonetheless we played on. Charleville scored early, settling first. They stayed strong for the first half but once the Cahir girls settled a good battle was played out. Charleville hit the net again but Cahir persevered and gave a great display of defending and passing.
Unfortunately we were hit with an injury that left us a player short but to the girls credit they never gave up which is great credit to them and lovely to see for the coming season.
Thanks to Charleville for the hospitality and we wish them well in the next round of the competition.
Training is on Thursday nights at Cahir Park. New players and mentors welcome to come along too.
U16 Boys
In the SFAI U16 National Trophy last Saturday in Cahir Park the result was Cahir Park 5 - 1 Shamrocks.
Cahir Park welcomed Shamrocks from Dundalk for a last 32 clash.
A great performance by all 15 players involved to put our name into the draw for the last 16.
Goal scorers were Patrick McDonagh (2), Padraig Farrell, Keelan Darcy and Dan Delaney. Well done to both teams.
