Galty Rugby is a concept developed to keep under 18 boys playing rugby, as players from Kilfeacle and District RFC, Clanwilliam FC and Galbally RFC joined together.

Galty Rugby Under 18s won their Munster quarter-final against Tralee at home on Sunday by 39-20.
Galty opened the scoring after five minutes with an unconverted try by left wing Tom Ryan Bob, following a clever crossfield kick by outhalf Gareth Thomas.

Galty doubled their lead to 10-0 on 10 minutes with another try with a scorching break by centre Oran Kelly. Tralee steadied the ship with a penalty to make it 10-3 but number eight and captain Euan McLoughlin finished off yet another multiple phase move to make the score 15-3 at half-time.

Outstanding defence from Caoimihin Doody at open side and Evan Crowe on the wing characterised the efforts of the combination team, who upped the tempo after the break, with outstanding full back Diarmaid Kinane finishing off two back moves with powerful running to leave the score at 25-3.

Tralee then mauled in a try off a lineout on the 22 to reduce the deficit to 25-10. However, clever play near the line allowed Gareth Thomas to dive over from a ruck to restore the lead to 32-10, with the conversion by Oran Kelly.

With scrum half Kyle Morris dictating from the base of scrum and ruck, another fine back move gave Tom Ryan Bob his second score, which was converted by Kelly for 39-10.

The Tralee boys showed good spirit to score two late tries from close range to make the final score a more respectable 39-20.
