Oscar nominee Kerry Condon to represent Tipp at prestigious awards this coming Monday

Kerry Condon

Thurles actress Kerry Condon will be the main focus of attention from everyone in Tipperary this Sunday night/Monday morning as she attends this year's Academy Awards ceremony with a big chance of landing a coveted golden statue.

Condon was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for the Academy Awards bash in the early hours of Monday morning, coming after she picked up a BAFTA for her role as Siobhán Súilleabháin in The Banshees Of Inisherin.

The Tipperary actress is now many experts favourite and the most likely of the ‘Banshees’ cast to scoop a gold statuette, as she battles the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis and Angela Bassett for the gong.

The ceremony is being televised worldwide this coming Sunday night in the US, while it can be viewed by Irish audiences at the later time of 12.00am on Monday morning until 3.00am.
