Leah and Aoife win gold on super day for DBB AC at Tipperary Indoor Championships

Dualla Ballytarsna Boherlahan Athletic Club members who competed in the County Under 9 to Junior Indoor competitions in Nenagh on Sunday, March 5

The County Under 9 to Junior Indoor competitions took place in Nenagh on Sunday, March 5.
Dualla Ballytarsna Boherlahan AC had 25 juvenile athletes competing. It was a well-organised event, and we brought home 18 medals in total.


Our juvenile athletes took part in the 60m sprint, middle distance, long jump, relay, hurdles, high jump, and race walk. They represented our club exceptionally well and made their parents and coaches proud with their performances.


Three of our girls’ relay teams, U10, U12, and U13, secured bronze medals.


Our U10 relay team was Maeve O’Donnell, Aislinn Ryan, Fiadh Maher and Laoise Prior.


Our U12 relay team was Emma Fitzgerald, Rebecca McLoughlin, Aoife Mc Loughlin and Cora Leamy.


Our U13 relay team was Dearbhla Hickey, Leah O’Connell, Triona Heffernan and Sarah Tye.
Leah O’Connell also secured a gold medal in the girls U13 600m. Aoife O’Donnell won a gold medal in the girls U14 800m.


Mollie Maher won silver in the girls’ U16 1,500m walk and a bronze medal in the U16 girls 60m.
Jack Maher secured a bronze medal in the U13 boys’ 60m hurdles. Also taking part on the day were Luke O’Connell and Padraig O’Connor in the boys’ U10 category.


Our girls U10 also competing were Ellen O’Dwyer, Robyn Ryan, Caoimhe Hickey and Rachel Tye. Edward Lahart (Boys U11), Cian O’Donnell, Cathal Heffernan and Paddy O’Dwyer (Boys U12) all took part in various events on the day.
