Dog fouling awareness
Tipperary County Council should follow the lead of Galway and replicate its local authority’s successful “Clean it up you dirty pup!” campaign to get dog owners to clean up their pets’ poo.
Cashel Fine Gael Cllr Declan Burgess proposed the council’s Environment Section refresh its dog fouling clean-up public awareness efforts by running the aptly titled campaign that was such a success in Galway.

The issue was first raised at the council meeting by Carrick-on-Suir Cllr David Dunne who declared the “scourge” of dog fouling was beyond him and was only getting worse not better no matter how many mutt mitts and bags the council put out to encourage people to clean up after their pet. “It’s deplorable,” he said.
