On Friday 12th May 2023 Thurles Tennis Club will host the John McNally Annual memorial golf classic in Thurles Golf Club.
This will be the second year of this event following a very successful and enjoyable classic last year.
The format will be a 4 person champagne scramble competition at a cost of €160 per team (food included). Tee box sponsorship is €50.
The core aim of this event will be to generate the funding required by Thurles Tennis Club for the proposed new multi- purpose sports facility on the TUS campus which will include an international standard indoor clay court tennis facility together with two outside courts.
The planning permission application is due for submission in the coming weeks. According to Peter Broderick, Chairman of Thurles Tennis Club, “This is a very exciting project and the development is hailed as a major expansion of the sports facilities in Thurles.
