St Michaels storm to another famous victory as the Tipperary Town side shine again

St Michaels recorded another famous victory this afternoon

St. Michael’s footballers produced a fantastic display this afternoon to make it to the FAI Junior Cup Final.

The Tipperary Town side, who have proved masterly in this competition over the years, made the trip to the sunny south-east to play Gorey Rangers in their semi-final clash.

The game in Ferrycarrig was intense from the off and it took the travelling side some time to settle in their familiar pattern of play.

The Wexford side made the most of the early running going 1-0 up after half an hour but Joey Mulcahy was in the right place to level it from the spot before he struck again to put the Tipp side ahead, much to much delirium from the away supporters. The 2-1 victory sends the famed side into another cup final.

Their final opponents will be old familiar rivals Newmarket Celtic who defeated Ballynanty Rovers on a  2-1 scoreline this afternoon.
