JUVENILE STARS SIGN OFF INDOORS IN STYLE
The 2023 Irish Indoor season came to an enthralling conclusion on Sunday last, April 2 as the TUS International Arena in Athlone played host to the final day of the 123.ie National Juvenile Indoor Championships.
Some of the country’s best up-and-coming athletics stars descended upon the venue with high hopes of taking back national honours to their home clubs. The action certainly didn’t fail to disappoint.
Among the big winners was Cara Ryan (Clonmel A.C.) who added to her growing medal collection as she backed up her High Jump gold from the Saturday with another gold medal in the U14 Girls Long Jump. Ryan jumped 4.97m.
Another Tipperary athlete, Ava Rochford (Nenagh Olympic A.C.) was in scintillating form once again as she won the U19 Pole Vault clearing 3.00m. It followed her High Jump title the previous day.
Attention for Ireland’s juvenile athletics stars now turns to a busy outdoor season.
