New Montessori provider secured!!

As people in the locality will know, the current Montessori run by Clodagh and Miriam will not be continuing beyond the end of this school term. For 13 years, Clodagh and Miriam have delivered an amazing service to the Ballymacarbry community and local families will be forever grateful for the impact they have had.

From September ‘Busy Bees Clonmel’ will be opening their Montessori in the Community Centre. Busy Bees have a long track record in providing the highest quality early childhood education and care to families in and around the Clonmel area. It is planned the new Montessori will operate on the same timeframe as the current service in operation (9.30am to 12.30pm).

If you are interested in enrolling your child for the 2023/2024 preschool year, you can contact Busy Bees on 086 044 4202 or by email office@busybeesclonmel.com.

Also view our facebook page for further details on this appointment.

We have no doubt that this will come as very welcome news for local parents. We would like to thank everyone for their patience as the community centre committee worked through the process of finding the best possible fit for the children of Ballymacarbry and surrounding areas.

We would also like to thank all those that expressed an interest in the service at our centre and especially those that completed our thorough tendering process. We wish the very best to Busy Bees in Ballymacarbry and we would like to sincerely thank Clodagh, Miriam and their fantastic staff over the years for delivering an unbelievable early learning service to our local children.

Job Vacancy at the centre

In the coming weeks we will have a job vacancy at the centre. The purpose of this role is to manage the day to day running of the Community Centre, ensuring bookings are managed, rooms set up, general office admin including payments and accounts, and ensuring the facility is clean and tidy.
There will be a minimum of 10 hours of work available each week, with additional hours at periods of high activity.

Flexibility will be offered, and required, for meeting customers and setting up for various functions. Weekend hours may be required from time to time.

To view the full job advertisement, please visit our facebook page or view the notice boards in the community centre and in local shops.

Anyone that uses the community centre in any capacity will know that Mairead Lynch has been the heartbeat of keeping the community centre running seamlessly from one week to the next for many years. Unfortunately, Mairead no longer has the time to commit to this position.

Over the years, Mairead has gone well beyond the call of duty to make sure local people are looked after and for this the community centre committee (old and new) will be forever grateful. Mairead’s ability to keep the centres committee on task to ensure the many weekly maintenance jobs were carried out promptly, ensured our fantastic facility was always kept at the high standard it is.

Hopefully we’ll be able to maintain these high standards going forward.
