The late Noel Cosgrave, who died this week
There was widespread shock and sadness following the death of Noel Cosgrave this week.
Noel, from The Arch, Marlfield, Clonmel, died unexpectedly last Wednesday evening.
He was well known as a prominent and highly-regarded GAA referee who officiated at matches throughout the county.
He refereed a number of county finals, including the 2008 county senior hurling final between Toomevara and Thurles Sarsfields.
Originally from Cappamore in county Limerick, and a proud Limerick man, Noel, who was 59 years of age, worked at Clonmel Credit Union. He previously worked with Tipperary County Council.
He is survived by his wife AnneMarie, son David, daughter Niamh, grand-daughter Holly, parents Michael and Bridie (Cosgrave), sister Lorraine, mother-in-law Anne (Connolly), daughter-in-law Amy, uncles, aunts, brothers-in-law, extended family and his many friends, to whom sincere sympathy is extended.
His body will repose at Condon's Funeral Parlour, Clonmel on Sunday evening from 4.30pm to 7pm. Removal on Monday to St Mary’s Church, Irishtown. Funeral Mass on arrival at 12 noon.

Cremation will take place afterwards in Shannon Crematorium at 4pm. Family flowers only please.
