Liam Devaney of Thurles Martial Arts Academy winning again

These are exciting times for all at Thurles Martial Arts Academy as one of their kickboxers heads across the channel to represent Ireland this weekend.

Liam Devaney from Thurles Martial Arts Academy recently won the - 88kg ISKA Professional Irish K-1 Kickboxing title in Cork back in February putting in a fantastic performance in the process. It is nothing new for the Tipperary native who has been creating quite the stir over the last twelve months.

Going from strength to strength in the sport, Liam stopped his opponent by KO in Round 2 to win that title. The talk in the sport has been about him in recent times as he has beaten several highly rated fighters under Muay Thai and K-1 rules over the last twelve months.

As a result of the incredible progress he has made, Liam was offered the opportunity to contest the European ICO K-1 Title in Birmingham this weekend. There he takes on the highly rated and very well respected opponent Mitch Stephenson, who had been on his own run of wins against the best in the UK recently.

All at Thurles Martial Arts Academy (based in Stradavoher business park) and all in Tipperary wish Liam the very best of luck ahead of his bout this weekend.
