Councillor appeals for traffic speed survey of rural road near Carrick-on-Suir

A survey of traffic speed on a road near Carrick-on-Suir was requested at Carrick Municipal District’s monthly meeting due to the excessive speed of some motorists travelling on the route.

Cllr David Dunne called for the speed survey to be carried out on the Lisadobber to Faugheen Road. He said young drivers were using the road as a short cut rather than travelling into Carrick and their speed was “lethal”.

District Engineer Denis Power said he would add Cllr Dunne’s request to his list.
