Greyhound racing takes place this evening
Excitement in building in Limerick this evening for the 2023 Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Final. The 1st Race is off at the earlier time of 7.14pm and doors will open at 6pm. Owners & Trainers are therefore reminded that weigh-in will take place from 6pm to 6.40pm.
Six greyhounds and their connections are now only hours away from claiming the top prize of €80,000 at tonight's final of The Con & Annie Kirby Memorial, kindly sponsored by JP and Noreen McManus. Tipperary trainer Graham Holland charges will now make up half of the final field with an incredible 3 finalists with Clonbrien Treaty, Hovex Tommy & Gaytime Hugo, all of whom could claim the title in this wide-open decided.
Michael O’Donovan (Tipp Town) with Ryhope Beach, Liam Peacock (Thurles) with Bogger Lucky and Pat Guilfoyle (Cloughjordan) with Scaglietti, make up the final 6, so regardless of what happens the trainers title will be heading to a Tipperary Kennel!
Thanks to this unique sponsorship 6 lucky Limerick GAA club nominators have also progressed and will now share in a €20,000 prize-fund set aside by JP & Noreen McManus for club development.
